Chris as pop-art

I'm Chris, the captain of this fun, laid back, creative, and passionate ship. I've been building brands and relationships for 12 years with some of the best founders and programs a designer could work with. In addition to developing visual identities, I'm fortunate to feel like a team member for so many client organizations who rely on me for all sorts of design needs that crop up, so they can focus on the business of... well, their business.

At Purple Flapjack we strive for meaningful and memorable designs. We look into our client's backgrounds and at their target audience to inform decisions and direct actions. Our designs are clean and modern, eliminating excess to communicate very directly. "A good designer can fit all of your text on a single page. A great designer can tell you why half of it isn't necessary." I'm not sure who to attribute that quote to, but I heard it years ago and it has become the ethos for Purple Flapjack.

I refer to "we" throughout the site and rarely "I". This is because I firmly believe in working with clients and not for them. Acting as a team typically yields higher quality solutions in a shorter time frame. There is a terrific network of people around me supporting what I do, and for all of them, I am thankful. 

When I'm not working, I'm a full time entertainer for my daughter and dog.
